We specialise in the recovery and enforcement of Tenancy Tribunal and Mediated Orders.
If you have been to mediation or the Tenancy Tribunal to resolve an issue, you will likely have a decision. Your decision could be in a sealed mediator’s Order or a Tenancy Tribunal Order. These Orders are legally binding and enforceable. As of 11 February 2021, the Tenancy Tribunal can hear claims up to the value of $100,000.
However, just because you have an Order, it does not always mean the tenant debtor will do or pay what they have been ordered to do by the Tenancy Tribunal.
We can help you recover the amount owed as shown on the Order and enforce it through the Ministry of Justice in the District Court. We will pay the associated civil enforcement costs for you, so you do not have to pay them. The Ministry of Justice will add civil enforcement costs to the debt, to be paid by your debtor along with the principal mediator’s or Tribunal Order amount.
In the 28+ years that we have been performing tenancy debt collection, we have successfully recovered Tenancy Tribunal Orders for private landlords and property managers all over New Zealand. We have even recovered Orders on behalf of tenants.
